The Ford F-150 More Than Just A Truck

The Ford F-150 features a spacious interior, impressive powertrain lineup, intuitive infotainment features, and excellent towing and hauling capabilities.

Overall, the Ford F-150 is a good full-size pickup truck. In the super competitive utility segment, that’s saying something. It has a maximum tow rating of 14,000 pounds and a payload capacity of more than 3,300 pounds. Its impressive powertrains include naturally aspirated V6 and V8 engines, twin-turbo V6s, and a smart hybrid option. Its handling and ride quality are well-balanced, the interiors are spacious, the materials are of good quality, and the infotainment features are easy-to-use.

If you’re in the market for a rugged work truck, an adventurous off-roader, or a high-tech and spacious family vehicle, the Ford F-150 should definitely be a contender. It has several configurations that can meet your needs and your budget.

Compared to its predecessor, the all-new Ford F-150 comes without diesel engine options but has a new Bed Utility package and a Black Appearance package.

Engine

Of the six engine options available for the F-150, not a single option is bad. There are naturally aspirated and twin-turbo V6s, a big V8, and a hybrid option. All powertrains perform very well. Each engine is linked to a 10-speed auto transmission that shifts smoothly and at the right time.

Ride and handling

For a big truck, its handling is composed around corners, and it requires very little effort to drive. The ride quality is comfortable, even if the interiors are pretty basic. Of course, you can opt for a more expensive trim for a more plush interior.

Interiors

This choice of interiors depends on your needs. The F-150 is available in basic, work-oriented trims and in upscale, expensive trims as well. Most materials used across the different trims are classy, and everything feels like it’s been built to last.

Cargo

The F-150 truck is available with a 5.5-, 6.5-, or 8-foot bed. You can also get in-bed lighting, exterior lights to illuminate the ground on the sides or the back of the truck, a tailgate step, a built-in tailgate work surface, and Ford’s BoxLink — an additional set of in-bed mounting points for cargo tie-downs or cleats.

The Ford F-150 comes packed with powertrain options, appearance packages, work and performance packages, cab options, bed lengths, and more to set it up just as you need.
