Everyone’s Dream Car – The New Toyota Camry

The Toyota Camry is a composed and comfortable car. It’s packed with user-friendly infotainment features and ranks high on safety too. Let’s learn more about it.

First impressions

One thing is clear from the get-go — the Camry is a good car. Its base version with the four-cylinder engine offers reasonable fuel economy, while the optional V6 offers spirited performance. The interiors could have been more upscale, but the Camry is spacious and comfortable, has supportive seats, and offers intuitive tech features. It offers a nearly unbeatable combination of quality and value.

Buyers’ choice

If you’re in the market for a midsize sedan, the Camry is a good choice. There’s a reason it’s one of the bestselling cars in the country, after all. Its reasonable price makes all its trims attractive to a large segment of buyers. Sure, it’s above average for its class, but the Camry’s quality more than makes up for its cost. It’s also reasonably priced, especially in comparison to the competition.

Interiors

The Camry’s cabin looks and feels nice. The quality of the materials used could’ve been better, though. Its rivals certainly provide more quality interiors. The amount of plastic used could also have been less, and the sound insulation could’ve been better too. But a lot of that gets taken care of with the higher trims.

Features

The Camry features an easy-to-use Entune infotainment system that has a 7-inch responsive touch screen along with plenty of smartly organized large buttons. The steering-mounted controls offer the driver a measure of convenience too. The system also features six speakers, satellite radio, Bluetooth, USB ports, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Amazon Alexa.

As an option, you can also get a 9-inch touchscreen, nine-speaker JBL stereo, HD Radio, and wireless charging.

Performance

The standard four-cylinder engine churns out 204hp, and the V6 has 301hp on tap. Each engine is paired to a slick eight-speed auto transmission. The standard engine is adequate; however, there’s no replacement for displacement. Who doesn’t want a 0-60mph-in-under-6-seconds V6 under the hood?

The four-cylinder front-wheel drive setup returns about 28mpg in the city and 39mpg on the highway. The AWD versions drop that to 25/34. The V6 FWD gets 22mpg in the city and 32mpg on the highway.

Overall, the Camry is reliable, comfortable, and handles well. If you’re in the market for a sedan, this is a great car.
